This course teaches you how to plan, design, and present a clear, professional scientific poster that communicates your research effectively. In a practical, step-by-step, online format, you’ll learn what makes a scientific poster “interesting” (and what to avoid), how to structure content logically (including IMRaD-style posters and case-based layouts), and how to write concise text that supports - rather than competes with - your visuals.
You’ll also cover essential design principles such as visual hierarchy, readability, color and font choices, spacing, and common layout patterns. The course includes guidance on choosing and formatting graphs and images, using data to tell a focused story, and adding citations correctly. Finally, you’ll learn how to prepare a short, confident poster pitch so you can explain your key message in under 5 minutes.
